OIC 2010

If you’ve always wanted to work on a real life business problem in the company of other equally motivated students, then OIC is for you. At the minium, OIC guarantees you a chance to work on a real business challenge in a demanding environment with a strong mentorship component.

If you are a registered student from a recognized post secondary institution with an interest/background in entrepreneurship and business development, then you are eligible to apply. OIC is not just a business plan competition, it is an opportunity to showcase your talent and potential while having fun in an immersive learning environment in a team of peers who share your passion and interest in entrepreneurship.

Applications are now open. Being one of the 16 participants will be an experience you won’t forget.

OIC is proud to recognize the initative partners who have been instrumental in the successful conception and launch of the challenge. We are lucky to have received support from numerous Ottawa based companies, community organizations and student groups.

Leading the 2010 initiative are:

Sonia Riahi – A full time Masters student, Sonia is manager and coordinator of OIC 2010. That basically means she does a little bit of everything for the event.

Tuhin Das – Business graduate, AIESEC Carleton executive, and winning team member of OIC 2009 Benbria challenge winner, Tuhin is co-manager and co-coordinator of OIC 2010.

Vahid Dabbaghi Sadr - an OCRI Business Intelligence Analyst and OIC 2009 participant, is co-coordinator of OIC 2010.

Japman Bajaj – One of the four individuals responsible for bringing #GenY to Ottawa (#GenYOTT), Japman is the social media lead for OIC 2010.

Manu Sharma - As well as being curator of OIC 2010 for the second year in a row, Manu is Developer and Manager of TalentBridge, Manager for Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Support at OCRI and Founding and Managing partner of OAK. He does find time to sleep though…just barely.
